Welcome Letter & SUPPLY List
Welcome to challenge.
My name is Miss Wigdale , aka, Miss Wiggy. I have been teaching at Jackson for 27 years. I can hardly believe it; it has gone by with the blink of an eye. I have often changed grade levels or positions here at Jackson to keep things fresh for me and my students. However, I have found two academic specialties I really enjoy teaching, that being Challenge and Science/Art. You can expect that your child will be challenged considerably. I and my colleges have a curriculum filled with art, language arts, math, science, history, and I try to incorporate a performance every year.
I would truly enjoy a parent to volunteer for each class that I serve to have as a , "room" parent. this is important for communications with the rest of the parents in the class and the need for volunteers for , "helping" hands that I want to establish this year.
Let me know through email or in person or even a written note if you are interested in becoming a room parent.
For this academic year, these are the supplies that I need your child to have in my class.
Wiggy's supplies needed:
One: 1" (Not a 1 1/2", Not a 2" inch a 1") white 3 ring binder with a clear coating cover on the front so that I can place their silhouette inside the front clear cover.
One: packet of dividers with tabs for the 3 ring, ring binder.
One: folder with 2 pockets. Please NO plastic folders.
Container of CLOROX WIPES!
Box of Kleenex
eraser
hand soap or hand sanitizer
Markers
A big bag of candy donation for the classroom's box of candy. Healthy treats are just fine too. I let the children choose one treat once a week. They look forward to this and remind me of it weekly when it is , "candy day". They munch on it will they work. I never, being a "fit" individual myself, take advantage of this.
Thank you so much for compiling to this list.
I look forward to servicing your child they will have a wonderful year but it will not be easy. Challenge is not suppose to be easy. that's why they are there.
Thank you,
Miss Wigdale
